The 40 m span footbridge over Tirón river, aims to connect the Wine Cellar district, drawing visitors from across the globe, with Haro’s historic town centre. The structural solution is a variable depth and width three spans beam, elastically fixed at its ends by means of two lateral anchored spans of 3.9 m. The arches curve outwards and the plan shape reminds of the wooden boards used to make wine casks. The materials used, stainless steel, wood and stainless-steel netting, as well related with wine, aim to reduce maintenance during the structure life span, as a strategy to ensure durability.
